Chinese Baijiu Culture Lecture & Tasting Conference
On July 23, the Chinese Baijiu Culture Lecture and Tasting Conference was held at the Singapore China Cultural Centre, attended by Mr. Yun Weilong, President of the Singapore China Baijiu Association.
As the sponsor of this event, the Singapore China Baijiu Association specially showcased five products—Moutai, Moutai Golf, Xijiu, Guojiao 1573, and Wuliangye—to promote traditional liquor culture and convey brand spirit.
At the lecture hall, former Senior Minister of State Mr. Zeng Shisheng and President Yun Weilong of the Singapore China Baijiu Association each delivered speeches. Guest speaker Mr. Han Shengbao, along with other guests, unveiled the new book Tracing the Roots of Huaxia Liquor Culture.
Former Senior Minister of State Mr. Zeng Shisheng introduced the importance of Baijiu culture through the lens of Chinese history, saying that cultural power has brought Chinese Baijiu to where it is today, and cultural power will also lead Chinese Baijiu into the future.
Mr. Han Shengbao explored and researched liquor from a cultural perspective, focusing on “tracing the roots,” thoroughly investigating and organizing the foundations of Huaxia liquor culture. He presented the root culture of Huaxia, emphasizing that liquor is not only a flavorful beverage but also a product rich in cultural meaning; drinking is not only a dietary activity but also a cultural activity. Since humanity first brewed this magical liquor, it has also brewed a profound and extensive liquor culture.
Hundreds of attendees listened attentively and then moved on to the long-awaited tasting session.
At the tasting bar, Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd offered five major Baijiu brands for attendees to sample and exchange their impressions, allowing them to experience the unique charm of Baijiu through different flavors and styles.
