Spring City Overflowing with Chinese Affection & Happy Spring Festival
Organized by the Huaxia Cultural Promotion Association, the 31st Spring City Overflowing with Chinese Affection & Happy Spring Festival Cultural, Arts, and Tourism Exhibition was successfully held on January 31 at the Singapore School of the Arts (SOTA) Drama Theatre.

The highlight performance was Splendid Chapter of Han Music, presented by the Xuzhou Han Music Orchestra, the creator of this Han Dynasty musical epic. Founded in 2017, the Xuzhou Han Music Orchestra is the youngest professional orchestra in Jiangsu Province and the first in the province dedicated to researching, discovering, collecting, compiling, composing, and performing Han Dynasty music
Anniversary activities
Splendid Chapter of Han Music is composed of a variety of distinctive and diverse musical works. Opening with Eight Tones in Harmony, the performance included pieces such as The Siege of Gaixia and The Song of the Great Wind. With ancient instruments such as the hujia (reed pipe), paixiao (pan flute), and taodi (ocarina), the orchestra brought significant Han Dynasty historical stories vividly to life through music.
By donning authentic Han Dynasty attire and performing with restored ancient instruments, the Xuzhou Han Music Orchestra combined music, dance, and traditional rituals to recreate the musical grandeur of the Han Dynasty.
Through their superb artistry and profound understanding of traditional music, the orchestra infused each piece with depth and charm, transporting the audience into the ancient Chinese civilization and immersing them in its timeless and melodious spirit.
