On the evening of July 29, 2025, the Singapore Xiangqi Association held a banquet at 7 Mansion (7 MANSION) to warmly welcome Ms. Shan Xiali (photo 1, left), Shanghai Xiangqi Grandmaster, for an exchange visit.
Ms. Shan formerly served as the Director of the Shanghai Chess Academy and Deputy Secretary-General of the Asian Xiangqi Federation. She is currently the Chairperson of the Shanghai Weiqi Ying Changqi Foundation and is a highly respected figure in the global chess community. This time, she led the Shanghai University Weiqi team to Singapore to participate in the World University Weiqi Championship and engaged in in-depth exchanges with the local Xiangqi community.

Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd specially presented Guizhou Xijiu from China for guests to appreciate. During the banquet, everyone raised their glasses to taste the liquor, discuss chess skills, and collectively enjoy the charm of “using liquor to carry the way and chess to make friends.”
