The banquet hall was filled with distinguished guests from all walks of life. However, the true highlight of the evening was the presence of ten elderly guests in their eighties. That’s right — these seniors were the most important guests invited to the event. Mr Yun Weilong pointed out that the purpose of organising this celebration was to bring together people from all sectors of society to celebrate Singapore’s 53rd National Day, and more importantly, to pay tribute and express gratitude to these pioneers for their contributions to Singapore’s development. He also shared that he would continue to provide support to these seniors in the future. At this moment, applause was well deserved!
