As the Chinese New Year approaches, the festive atmosphere grows stronger. Influenced by the joyous and harmonious spirit of the Chinese New Year, a series of Spring Festival celebrations were held across Singapore. On January 28, 2019, the “2019 Singapore International Chinese New Year Gala”, jointly organised by Moutai, the World Association of Chinese Musicians, and the Asia International Music Alliance, was grandly staged at the Kallang Theatre.
This year’s gala invited many stars and artists to participate wholeheartedly. Dozens of renowned singers, actors, and artists took to the stage to present festive performances, including Ms Deng Yuhua, a National First-Class Actress from China, Yao Lisen (Thailand), Yin Zuofa (Indonesia), and the Sing Tao Sunset Red Dance Troupe (Singapore). Together with Chinese communities around the world, they celebrated the arrival of the New Year.
No matter where they are in the world, Chinese people have earned respect and standing in their host countries through outstanding wisdom, resilience, and admirable qualities. At this reunion-filled and celebratory gala, Moutai honoured and paid tribute to the hardworking contributors of the Chinese nation. During the event, a grand award ceremony was held, where outstanding Chinese individuals were presented with the “Moutai Outstanding Contribution Award.” Carefully prepared bottles of Moutai were also given as gifts, expressing gratitude to these exemplary representatives for their contributions to promoting traditional Chinese culture, and allowing overseas Chinese to savour a taste of home during the Spring Festival.

Enjoying the same dance, singing the same song, amid a grand festival and the fragrance of fine liquor — at the Singapore International Chinese New Year Gala, Moutai brought together the Chinese community in Singapore through a thoughtfully curated cultural “family banquet.” While promoting and passing on the outstanding traditions of the Chinese nation, the event also added a vivid and meaningful chapter to cultural exchanges between the two countries.
