The 31st Spring City Overflowing with Chinese Affection
On January 19, the 31st Spring City Overflowing with Chinese Affection & Happy Spring Festival — “Dragons Soar Across the Seas, Harmony Under Heaven” Concert — was grandly inaugurated at Capitol Theatre. The event was graced by Mr. Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and the Ministry of Social and Family Development, as the Guest of Honour.
Mr. Yun Weilong, Chairman of Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd, was specially invited and received a certificate of appreciation as the Title Sponsor.

Before the concert commenced, Ms. Lin Zhenli, President of the Huaxia Cultural Promotion Association, presented New Year gifts to Mr. Eric Chua to celebrate the festive season. Mr. Yun engaged warmly with distinguished guests, sharing insights on fostering cultural integration and the complementary growth of culture and business.
The Chinese baijiu showcase presented by Singapore China Baijiu drew significant attention at the concert entrance.。

The concert featured a stellar lineup of internationally acclaimed artists. Conducted by renowned Singaporean maestro Mr. Chen Kangming, the evening highlighted performances by Singaporean tenor Mr. Lee Song-En, baritone Mr. Ng Han-Wei, Malaysia-born mezzo-soprano Ms. Cheong Yin-Ching (active in Hong Kong), and soprano Ms. Li Jingjing of the China National Opera House.
The repertoire seamlessly blended high-caliber local symphonic works with innovative pieces that fused Chinese cultural elements with bel canto and Western orchestration, creating a multicultural audio-visual feast.

The opening concert concluded amid thunderous applause, as honored guests joined the performers on stage for a commemorative photo. Mr. Yun Weilong extended his congratulations to Ms. Lin Zhenli and the artists.

The following day of the Spring City series welcomed a new wave of guests, with both the matinee and evening performances held in a jubilant atmosphere. Guest of Honour for the sessions included Mr. Baey Yam Keng, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment and the Ministry of Transport, alongside Mr. Xiao Jianghua, Director of the China Cultural Center and Chief Representative of the China National Tourist Office in Singapore.
