On October 13, 2020, the “Dance Together Against the Pandemic · Charming Lion City” 2020 Singapore Dance Charity Competition Finals, jointly organised by Moutai distributor Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd and co-organised by Jing Wu Men Performance Studio and Xiangyue Arts & Culture Communication, successfully concluded.
Due to the pandemic, this dance competition differed from previous editions. Since the launch of registration in July, the preliminary and semi-final rounds were conducted online via Douyin, attracting enthusiastic participation from many contestants. Casting aside the constraints of the post-pandemic period, the dancers expressed themselves freely through graceful movements. After more than three months of intense competition, nine dance works advanced to the finals.

At the same time, on the premise of ensuring pandemic safety, the finals adopted a hybrid online-and-offline format. Contestants performed on an offline stage, while audiences watched via livestream. On-site staff and all participants strictly adhered to safety guidelines—registering personal information, undergoing temperature checks, and maintaining safe social distancing—to ensure the smooth running of the competition.

The competition was filled with highlights, featuring dazzling dances and outstanding performances—at times passionate like fire, at times gentle and serene, and at times lively and dynamic. With youthful energy and expressive movement, the dancers delivered a visual feast. Meanwhile, a professional judging panel comprising industry experts Mr Li Yongnan, Mr Zhou Lei, Mr Xu Weizhong, and Ms Sophia Meng appeared at the competition, providing precise evaluations of each performance and offering guidance across multiple dimensions such as verbal expression and body movement. Together, they presented a high-standard, high-calibre dance art showcase.

After more than an hour of intense competition, contestant Yifan won the Grand Prize, receiving Chinese Moutai and a generous cash award. From Xiangyue Dance Troupe, Luo Huiqun, Hot Moms & Hot Girls Group, and Yuanyuan won the First Prize, Second Prize, and Third Prize respectively. Their awards included a bottle of Moutai Xijiu, a SGD 388 seafood platter sponsored by Hi-Huo Seafood Club, a SGD 198 four-person set meal sponsored by Shu Yan Restaurant, and a SGD 98 two-person set meal sponsored by Blue Label Marina.
