On the evening of 28 November, a dazzling Wuliangye Tasting Event themed “The Spirit of Strong Liquor” lit up Lion City. Jointly presented by Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd and Six Star International Club, the event brought together local spirits enthusiasts to experience and appreciate the unique charm of Sichuan’s strong-aroma baijiu.
That evening, elegant models dressed in colourful gowns made a graceful entrance, each holding classic products from the Wuliangye series, officially opening the tasting event. Fine wine paired with beauty — a timeless combination. While guests enjoyed the visual spectacle, Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd also delivered a feast for the palate. Beauty, fine wine, and a stunning setting — to savour such a splendid experience on such a wonderful night was truly one of life’s finest moments.

This “Spirit of Strong Liquor” Wuliangye Night marked its first-ever appearance in Singapore’s nightlife scene. Entering the nightlife consumption channel was not only a strategic market expansion for the company, but also a vivid expression of baijiu’s “youthful and fashionable” transformation. The event showcased the elegance of Chinese baijiu culture while adding a fresh, distinctive appeal to this traditional spirit.

“Baijiu’s youthfulness and fashion-forward positioning” has become an undeniable trend. In Singapore, many young people have never been exposed to Chinese baijiu and may find its high alcohol content unfamiliar. Today, nightlife consumption has become a favoured lifestyle among the younger generation, with an ever-expanding consumer base and enormous market potential.
In February 2018, Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd organised the inaugural Baijiu Cocktail Competition, developing a range of baijiu-based cocktails that were highly popular with young audiences. Among them, cocktails crafted with Wuliangye appeared at various events, further expanding Wuliangye’s influence in Singapore. This helped highlight Wuliangye’s modern, stylish, and international image, allowing more young people and international consumers to fall in love with Wuliangye — and with Chinese baijiu as a whole.
