On January 16, the New Year Concert of the 28th “Spring City Radiates Chinese Charm & Happy Chinese New Year” series of events grandly opened at the Singapore Conference Hall. As the opening performance of the “Spring City” series, the concert presented the audience with an artistic feast of depth and significance.

That evening, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law of Singapore Mr Edwin Tong Chun Fai; His Excellency Mr Hong Xiaoyong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Singapore; Mr Xiao Jianghua, Director of the China Cultural Centre in Singapore and Director of the China National Tourist Office in Singapore; Mr Zeng Shisheng, Former Senior Minister of State for Education of Singapore; Mr Hu Jinsheng, President of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry; and Mr Que Xiaohua, Cultural Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, along with many other distinguished guests, attended the concert. Mr Yun Weilong, Chairman of Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd, a distributor of Moutai liquor and one of the sponsors of the event, was also invited to attend the opening ceremony.

This concert was organised by the Huaxia Cultural Promotion Association, with Moutai distributor Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd invited as one of the sponsors, injecting the charm of baijiu culture into the event. Beyond showcasing the profound connotations of “Cultural Moutai” and the vast depth of traditional Chinese culture to friends in Singapore, it also deeply imprinted the appeal of a national brand and Chinese cultural essence in the hearts of local audiences.

The concert invited Singapore’s outstanding performing group “Hui Xiang Chui Da Troupe” and local young tenor Li Song’en. With the themes of enhancing public environmental awareness and promoting Chinese festive culture, they joined hands to present a distinctive New Year performance rich in local characteristics.

During the concert, the performers delivered passionate performances with well-paced rhythms and powerful musical momentum, instantly igniting the atmosphere. The performance by the Hui Xiang Chui Da Troupe was majestic and full of strength and passion. The festive and jubilant atmosphere won unanimous praise from the audience. The concert also achieved over 46,000 views via WeChat livestreaming, with on-site and online audiences watching and applauding together.

At the beginning of the New Year 2021, Moutai fine liquor and traditional music met perfectly in Singapore, presenting the public with a wonderful “cultural feast” through their unique charm.
