Amid the Pandemic, Wuliangye Joins Friends from All Sectors in Singapore and China to Cheer for Wuhan in a Special Way!

On February 1, the Singapore Chinese Association hosted a Chinese New Year Gathering Luncheon at the Tanglin Club. Nearly 200 guests attended the event, including His Excellency Mr Hong Xiaoyong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Singapore; Mr Qiu Yuanxing, Minister-Counsellor and Consul General of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Singapore; Ms Zhong Manying, Minister-Counsellor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore; Mr Xiao Jianghua, Director of the China Cultural Centre in Singapore and Director of the China National Tourist Office in Singapore; Mr Cheng Jun, CEO of Bank of China Singapore Branch; as well as representatives from Singapore’s business and overseas Chinese communities and members of the media.

In his speech, Ambassador Hong Xiaoyong introduced the current situation of the outbreak and the measures and efforts China has taken in combating the pneumonia epidemic. He noted that since the outbreak began, the Singapore government, major business associations, China–Singapore enterprises, as well as many overseas Chinese compatriots have actively participated in the fight against the epidemic—donating funds and supplies and expressing, in various ways, the deep friendship between the peoples of China and Singapore.

As one of the sponsors of the event, Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd actively participated by bringing Wuliangye to the venue. Together with friends from various sectors in Singapore and China, they cheered for Wuhan in a special way, contributing their modest effort to the joint fight against the pneumonia epidemic by both countries.略尽绵薄之力。

The atmosphere at the venue was exceptionally warm and lively. The luncheon also featured wonderful performances such as lion dances for good fortune and face-changing acts to pray for blessings, expressing hopes for an early victory over the epidemic and the welcoming of good fortune. Everyone felt a sense of warmth and a strong confidence.
