Recently, Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd was honoured to attend the 80th birthday celebration and book launch of Mr. Lim Kwan How, Former President and Permanent Honorary President of the Singapore Xiangqi General Association, as well as Secretary-General of the Asian Xiangqi Federation.
Over the years, we have worked closely with the Singapore Xiangqi General Association in promoting Chinese culture. Since six years ago, we have continuously supported Xiangqi and Graphic Xiangqi tournaments, with the hope of allowing more people to appreciate the richness and charm of Chinese culture.
On this special occasion, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Mr. Lim Kwan How. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the Singapore Xiangqi General Association, fostering friendship through Xiangqi and sharing culture through baijiu while jointly promoting Chinese cultural heritage.
Distinguished Guests Gather to Celebrate Mr. Lim Kwan How’s 80th Birthday and Book Launch
During the celebration, Mr. Lim Kwan How delivered a welcome address (Photo 1). Guest-of-Honour Ms. Hany Soh (Photo 2), Member of Parliament for Marsiling–Yew Tee GRC, and Mr. Chan Soo Sen (Photo 3), former Minister of State and former President of the China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Group, also delivered speeches and extended their congratulations to Mr. Lim Kwan How.
Ms. Hany Soh presented calligraphy artwork as a commemorative gift (Photo 5), while several guests also offered calligraphy pieces in celebration of the occasion. In return, Mr. Lim Kwan How presented guests with commemorative gifts, including Xiangqi boards and copies of his publications. The event was filled with a warm atmosphere and a strong appreciation for culture and friendship.

In addition to documenting his life experiences and reflections, the book also recounts the story of Mr. Lim Kwan How’s friendship with Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd and highlights the many years of cultural exchange and collaboration between both parties. The publication serves as a meaningful record of a longstanding relationship and shared commitment to promoting Chinese culture.
